“SMILE, Chin Up!” is a compelling firsthand narrative by Corine Lewis, chronicling her tumultuous journey through sexual assault and a decade of domestic violence.
Through a series of vignettes and anecdotes, Corine bravely recounts her experiences, highlighting moments of despair and resilience alike. The book encapsulates her entire ordeal, from the trauma of assault to the crushing weight of abuse, interwoven with glimpses of hope and humor.
Corine's journey is more than just overcoming the impossible--it is transforming the pain of her past into a catalyst for change. That is why we have began the SMILE, Chin Up! Foundation, a nonprofit, 501(3)c foundation for victims and survivors of domestic violence and abuse. Through education, empowerment, and equipment, the SMILE, Chin Up! Foundation envisions a world free from abuse.
