Part of our mission at SMILE, Chin Up! is to spread awareness of the grip domestic violence and abuse has on our society--and the stories of those who have survived it. We can create an army of allies and advocates through the power of knowledge and empathy.
Empower
One of our driving goals is to empower survivors to tell their own stories--much like Corine has in "SMILE, Chin Up!". Our stories can create waves of change that help victims, save lives, and spread awareness.
Part of our core value of empowerment is to support victims in starting their own businesses, developing leadership skills, and becoming financially independent. As Corine details in her book, starting the journey to self-employment can be difficult, but ultimately liberating, empowering, and life-changing. Our goal is to equip survivors with the tools they need to build their own business, and their own life--free from abuse and domestic violence.
Equip
Healing from trauma is a lifelong process. We aim to take away some of the burden on victims--providing professional, leadership, and business opportunities and education to assist victims in becoming financially independent and empowered in sharing their stories.
